Bonvoy demonstrates social tools for group travel at The Travel Innovation Summit

“I was frustrated with the hassles of participating in group trips because it meant having to deal with chain emails, scheduling disasters, searching for travel deals, and trying to split up costs,” says Mujteba Naqvi, Founder & CEO of Bonvoy.
Bonvoy, a social travel startup premiered its Facebook application that makes group travel a breeze. The application is an easy and social way for small group travelers to plan, book, and even split costs for a group trip. The application eliminates trip logistic hassles by empowering travelers to create group travel pages. Travelers then communicate, collaborate, and coordinate on the group trip. Each traveler is then presented with an itemized break down of their costs and then they can pay their portion of the trip.
“We thought to take group travelers out of the inbox and onto Facebook, where they are already talking about travel,” says Mujteba, Founder of Bonvoy.
Whether it is meeting up with your college buds during March Madness, going on that infamous bachelor party to Las Vegas, or grabbing your girlfriends for a shopping getaway in New York, Bonvoy’s mission is to make the process a breeze so friends travel more and often with one another.
Bonvoy is piloting a booking technology powered by Amadeus and has built its own proprietary payment technology to facilitate split payments. This all sits on top of a travelers entire Facebook social graph. Bonvoy launched a public beta on September 22nd and already has 750+ trips being planned within the application.
The application can be accessed via http://www.facebook.com/bonvoy
