Goby is a new type of search engine for exploring new things to do in your free time, from taking a unique vacation to creating a weekend adventure. Originally developed as an MIT research project, Goby utilizes advanced, deep Web search technology to provide users access to information about a vast array of leisure activities, events, dining and lodging options sourced from databases across the Web. The Goby system then contextualizes and semantically organizes this rich set of Web data, resulting in an easy-to-use product that allows users to quickly search, sort, filter, map and understand this previously unstructured information.
