How to be Social on PhoCusWright Connect >>

  • PhoCusWright is about to launch a very cool promotion to win a free ticket for The PhoCusWright Conference.
  • Hoping I get picked!

    Melissa
  • 2 types of social networking: virtual and in-person. For those seeking relevance & authenticity, PhoCusWright is the place
  • I've followed the last couple of conferences via Twitter and this next time I'm going... and I'm bringing the revamped Global Culture project along with me.
  • Even if you don't win the contest, this is the travel industry must attend event of the year. The speaker line-up is impressive every time, the networking opportunities unparalleled and the take aways of critical importance to your business. If you think it's a conference like every other you're seriously mistaken.
  • Gene Rhee
    Come on 7 or 11....
  • Karen
    Never a dull moment
  • Thanks Philip for thinking about those of us that may need to win free entry to your conference this fall. I have been to nearly every conference since you started (with the exception of when I flew all the way to LA only to find out that my father in law had passed away and had to fly all the way home without attending!). I wouldn't miss your conference.

The connections that you can make are unparalleled and while it is always worth the investment, having the privilege of going gratis would be a very good thing, after having invested three years of my life and most of my life savings in technology to try to turn this industry on its head.

After winning the Startup Competition at your conference in 2007, we had hoped to be able to raise enough money to get the company from product completion stage to full launch of the business, but alas it did not happen. I've learned a ton since then and would love the opportunity to share with your Innovation attendees how to learn from the early mistakes. I'm publishing some of my experience in a book coming out next month called Bootstrap Business.

I haven't given up on our roadescapes.com technology and continue to press forward toward the original dream. My goal is to resurface in your innovation competition with THE killer Web 3.0 application. See you soon!
  • CharlesSnyder
Thanks for sharing you personal story. We find that The PhoCusWright Conference draws many attendees that share your love and devotion to travel and innovation. Has your book been released? I'd be interested to speak to you about it. Please feel free to contact me directly. Charles Snyder, manager marketing at PhoCusWright.
  • The book should be out in august.
  • I hope that in November the market will be more clear than now at leat in Europe, not only for the new companies that we will discover on the PCW Conference but for the on-line business that will survive to this complicated summer season. It will be great anyhow to be on Florida next November
  • We are every excited about attending this conference for the first time!
  • CharlesSnyder
Glad to have you join us this year! I hope you have locked in your early-bird priced tickets. Prices increase tomorrow.
  • We have not been able to attend in the past, but hope to this year since PhoCusWright is back in Orlando! PhoCusWright released a study in January on the Vacation Rental industry: http://www.phocuswright.com/research_publicatio...
  • non-profits have to do what we can to get access to data. I'll be very interested to see how the contest does for generating followers and contributors
  • Have heard brilliant reviews about the PCW conference. I believe this year would be even better given the economic clime & the jam that the travel industry has been in. Would love to land the free entry :)
  • It would be great to attend the PhoCusWright conference again this year - thanks for the opportunity!
  • Jennifer Yacenda
Great promotion idea! I wasn't aware that PhoCusWright was into tweeting. Also, well done on the video - impressive.
  • CharlesSnyder
Thanks very much, our twitter account just reached 1,000. We try to embrace the technologies and innovations we so often talk about.
  • Great idea to get many travel industry professionals involved in this forum and to interact with each other. Like many of the PhoCusWright tweet followers and fans, I appreciate the regular updates I receive from PhoCusWright - via Twitter, Facebook and newsletters. Would be interested in connecting with many of the forum participants here - we're @ecotravel on Twitter. Ayako Ezaki - The International Ecotourism Society (TIES) | ecotourism.org
  • CharlesSnyder
We very much appreciate your participation. We have a new LinkedIn group as well - it allows our followers to post discussion topics around whatever topic they'd like (like Ecotourism).
  • Appreciate the opportunity you're extending to smaller businesses that might not otherwise be able to participate. I've found the blog posts very informative, and like what I've seen of the new PhoCusWright Connect.
  • Noosphera
Thank you. Will take my luck here. Hopefully would love to attend.
    Keep up the great work!

    Will keep my fingers crossed!
  • I researched this conference extensively last year hoping to attend. The topics were spot on and the attendees were from the kind of companies we wanted to meet for potential partnerships or idea sharing. Alas our bootstrapping budget meant we couldn't go, but maybe this is the lucky year. :)
  • CharlesSnyder
The PhoCusWright Conference is worth the budget battle, we hope you can join us this year. You can save up to $700 if you register by tomorrow.

  • Hi Philip,

You probably don't remember me. My brother David Holbrook and I came to one of your conveferences (or one in which you spoke) in the early 90's in NYC. I've always wanted to attend another conference. I'm always on the lookout for your work. I am Florida based and your conference would be a great opportunity to check in. Thanks for the opportunity for the drawing, and your twitter invite finally got me "tweeting".

    Best,
    Andrea
  • Wow - this line up is exciting. I would love to be part of this conference and to receive this kind of teaching from the leaders in the industry. Thanks for offering the chance to win tickets for us start-ups.
  • I've never been @Phocuswright conferences so I would love to catch this opportunity. This would be the best travel event of the year.
  • CharlesSnyder
2009 is the year to try The PhoCusWright Conference. We hope you can join us.
  • With wholesale reductions in content and attendance at conferences due to the marketplace I look forward to this event to be both dynamic and tangible
  • CharlesSnyder
Reduce content? Not us, no way.
  • I have enjoyed following PhoCusWright and your key analysts on Twitter and LinkedIn. I know that I can rely on your information to be data-based and thoughtfully analyzed. My employer is a subscriber to PhoCusWright research, however, funds for attending conferences are more limited this year. Thank you for all of the great discussions and I hope I have the opportunity to meet you in person at the conference. Roseanne @TravelSocial @PleasantHoliday @LowestAirfares_
  • CharlesSnyder
If you could only attend one travel conference this year, we hope it would be The PhoCusWright Conference!
  • Free, or not; I think this is a conference I would like to attend. Maybe this year will be the first of many.
  • A person would be crazy not to enter a contest for free registration for PhoCusWright!
  • Would be great to come to the conference
  • Would love to go to the conference!
  • I believe this would be a great option to visit the conference and share our experience in Online Travel. I am also curious about what's hot in the industry.
  • I was thinking of attending PhoCusWright this year as we are always for innovations, exploring something new and establishing new contacts; and this event is a must attend of the year. Now when there's a chance to win a free ticket, I've decided to try it.
    Good luck to everyone!
  • Hey, we'd love to attend, so hoping we get picked. We've got a new Destination Marketing Business Intelligence tool that we're trying to get off the ground. www.vysits.com

    Thanks for the opportunity!
  • CharlesSnyder
This year The PhoCusWright Conference expects a large increase in attendees representing the Destination Marketing sector.
  • Great talking with you Bruce. Looking forward to helping out on PhoCusWright 2009. As a partner, I'm probably not eligible to win this contest :), but I'd love to enter on behalf of the UpTake Blog Network, 7 blogs with over 50 bloggers, and if we win I will take this free ticket and hold a blog contest for interested @UpTake bloggers who want to come to write about the event.

  • What a great idea. Just another example of PhoCusWright understanding the needs of its audience. I'm always impressed by PCW. Hope I have a chance to see the conference and not just hear about it from lucky attendees.

    Lori
  • I've been really interested in the all the recent insights from the DMO aspect of web marketing as we really are different in many ways from the more "typical" travel sites, and have different constraints and opportunities.

Would love a chance to win attendance in Florida as our conference budget was seriously curtailed this year.

    Paul
